Background of the Study
Data privacy is a critical concern for businesses operating in a data-driven economy. IT ethics encompasses principles and practices that govern the use of technology, particularly in protecting sensitive data from misuse, breaches, and unauthorized access.
In Kebbi State, businesses are increasingly relying on IT systems to manage operations and customer data. However, the lack of a strong ethical framework for IT usage has led to cases of data breaches and privacy violations (Ahmed et al., 2023). This study explores the role of IT ethics in data privacy protection and its implications for businesses in Kebbi State.
Statement of the Problem
Despite the growing importance of data privacy, businesses in Kebbi State face challenges in maintaining ethical practices related to IT usage.
